Brean
Brean boasts miles of sandy beaches which are dog friendly all year round. The sandy beach fron Brean to Burnham on sea is one of the biggest in Europe and comprises of eight beaches in all. Brean beach provides the ultimate seaside experience, with miles of sandy shores. Despite its common perception as a single beach, it’s actually divided into two distinct sections: Berrow Beach and Brean Beach
Brean Fort
Situated on a headland reaching far out into the Bristol Channel you will find a fort dating back to 1865, which houses an exhibition on Breans history. Access to the fort is by foot only and there are quite a few steps to negotiate but worth the effort.
Upstairs Lounge
Upstairs lounge is a very popular cocktail bar with live music and events and happy hour. Light meals, snacks and hot drinks are also available.
Sunnyside Chinese and Fish Bar
Sunnyside Fish Bar and Chinese Takeaway is a popular takeaway located next to The Brean Down Inn, at the Sunnyside entrance. Open seasonally (end of March until end of October). The takeaway is closed on Tuesdays during low season. Scores 4 on Google Reviews.
Brean Beaches
The approximately 7 miles od sandy beaches and dunes stretches within 2 miles of the popular resort town of Weston Super Mare. The beaches are popular with walkers and dog walkers alike. Access is easy as there is ample parking next to and even on the beach in designated areas.
Brean Golf Club
Brean Golf Club is situated on the Somerset coast at Brean Leisure Park, 10 minutes from Burnham On Sea, and M5 J22. The current layout of the course was opened in March 2016 and sees the 18 holes cover 5663yds from the back tees with a par of 69. Although not long by today’s standards it’s small greens & abundance of water hazards will keep golfers of any standard thinking throughout their round. .
Brean Bike Hire
Brean Bike Hire offer bikes to hire from as little as £10 a day. There are many cycle routes in the area including the new Brean Down way route. If you want to go a little further out you can try the very popular Strawberry line.

Located at the gateway to England's glorious South West, Burnham & Berrow Golf Club is considered one of the finest links golf experiences in the British Isles, with a rich history dating back to 1890. Our Championship Course is ranked 27th in GB&I and the 9-hole Channel Course is an absolute gem.
